GRAPEVINE, TX– (December 10, 2018) – Officials with Complex Sports & Entertainment (ComplexSE.com) and the Gronkowski Family announced a partnership on December 10, joining forces in the production and launch of a new stadium-based obstacle course race called “Stadium Blitz®.”
“Our vision for Stadium Blitz is to produce a stadium-based fitness event for the entire family,” says Mark Neifeld, President of Complex. “What better partners to have than the Gronkowski family, who have spent their careers competing in top physical condition on the fields of these iconic stadiums.”

The Gronkowski family – Papa Gronk, Gordie Jr., Dan, Chris, Rob and Glenn – will serve as curators of the event, assisting in the development of the racecourse, obstacles and event design. Every Stadium Blitz event will feature Gronk Fitness Products along the race route, with the obstacle course designed to test the participants’ athleticism, endurance and stamina.
“The Stadium Blitz race route was designed to give participants of all athletic abilities, ages five to 85, the opportunity to challenge themselves at an exciting event in a unique venue,” said Bryan Ness, Executive Vice President of Operations for Complex. “The Blitz race route has three difficulties: ‘Race,’ ‘Hustle’ and ‘Blitz;’ so everyone in the community can participate and compete.”
Stadium Blitz branded Ice Shaker™ bottles will also be sold exclusively at the event, with unique designs available only to Blitz race participants. Ice Shaker, founded by Chris Gronkowski, will also showcase the company’s unique line of insulated fitness bottles and tumblers at the Stadium Blitz Fan Festival.
Stadium Blitz will feature a unique scoring system, tracked by RFID technology, that will award points to participants based on the difficulty of the obstacles they chose, and the time it took to complete the race. Participants receive a score at the conclusion of the race, making Blitz one of the most technologically advanced obstacle course races in the country.
The 2019 Stadium Blitz Tour will be hosted at iconic stadiums across the country beginning in early spring. The full Stadium Blitz tour schedule will be released in January 2019, with a total of 12 events scheduled for the inaugural year.
